Everything About the Latest iOS Update
iOS is the mobile operating system created by Apple, Inc. that is reserved to some of their devices, such as iPhone and iPad. Staying up to date with the latest version of iOS provides bug fixes, security upgrades and new features, as stated by Apple.
The goal of the Apple iOS 14.4 update is not only to integrate its new system, as usual, but also to fix several bugs>/bold>. The latest iOS update will introduce:
- Recognition of smaller QR codes.
The camera will now be able to recognize smaller QR codes, which implies an improvement of the same functionality.
- Improved Bluetooth function.
When you go to your Settings it will allow you to classify the different Bluetooth devices (speakers, headphones, etc.).
- Camera authenticity notifications on iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models
This can be very useful if, for example, the repairer of your iPhone did not use an original Apple camera – the new iOS 14.4 update will be able to recognize its authenticity!
It is finally over – the following bugs (that have been reported by users for months) will be fixed:
- The artefacts on iPhone 12 Pro HDR photos.
- The Fitness widget that did not show updated activity data.
- The delayed typing.
- The wrong keyboard language.
- New app audio stories not resuming after being paused for voice prompts or for Siri.
- Switch control that prevented calls from being answered via the lock screen.
How To Update to iOS 14.4
As usual, Apple will send its users a notification on their phones indicating the availability of the new iOS update. However, we recommend that you first save a backup copy on iTunes or iCloud. (unnecessary action, at your discretion).
Using Over The Air (OTA) Update
Once you get it, you can select the received notification that will take you to Settings. Select General and then Software update. Next, confirm the new update and wait for the system to download and install it automatically, restarting it with the latest version of the operating system.
Update From iTunes
The update to the new iOS 14.4 can also be done through iTunes. In this case you will need to connect the device to your computer with the cable and wait for it to be recognized.
Once this is done, go to Summary and Check for updates. Accept the available update and the device will restart and proceed with the automatic update.
